The journey begins . . . .
Today was a long day. It started out very exciting once J got home from work at 0800. She was throwing clothes in a suitcase and making trips to Ivan with boxes, bags, & dog beds. Then Ziggy arrived. He is riding with us from Jane Taylor's to meet his new owner. I had met him before but he is getting much bigger at ~6 months old. He had puked on the ride from WA has seemed fine since he arrived (thank dog!). He travelled very well in the car - no whining. Of course, now J is getting testy because she is sleepy, but Ziggy will not 'get busy'.
Geez, we didn't manage to leave Portland until 1 PM and have only made it as far as Mountain Home, ID. At this rate I doubt we will make it to Falcon, CO by friday night. That means we might miss Bados' 1st course at the II. He drove over with Karen S. because - having to work that over night - J had feared she could not get him there by Saturday AM. I'll concede that that was smart of her
Anyway, the drive was pretty dull. At least I get to watch the scenery through the "Gita Window" that I convinced J to have installed low on the van wall (I am only 21" after all).
J says that she will transcribe no more tonight. Too tired - and there have been a large number of typos to correct.
